| AMVA Academy |
| Advanced Media Vocational Academy (AMVA) is a vocational training program for people with disabilities located in Burbank, California. The program combines regular classroom, lab and workshop activities. Activities are enhanced by field trips, industry seminars and internship opportunities at local production companies. Presently very few opportunities exist in the community for adults with disabilities to get vocational training – even fewer opportunities are out there for adults with disabilities to learn the needed vocational skills to work in the entertainment industry. Our program is a DGA member project taught by Directors Guild of America members.
To address this need, the program seeks to provide:
- positive vocational training
- an entertainment industry skill set
- and enriching experiences for adults with disabilities.

Our goal is to help students become independent and have choices about their future. We provide the life and job skills training necessary for AMVA students to lead independent and productive lives.
Students choose to pursue either the Film/TV or Animation program. Download Our Brochure.
