history of actors for autism

Actors for Autism was established in 2004 by Executive Director and Founder Alisa Wolf. Alisa experienced first hand as a parent the challenges of living with a child with autism. She found it difficult to find typical programs that would include her son. While volunteering as Director of Program Development for a local non-profit organization, Alisa found her calling in developing curriculum and implementing new and innovative programs.

Alisa went back to school earning her Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Masters Degree in Special Education and currently working on her Ph.D. in Education and J.D. in law simultaneously. Alisa's dream of creating opportunities for individuals with autism has grown into a national organization that helps children, adults and families dealing with autism.
