Actors for Autism is a performing arts and digital film making organization that provides programs for individuals with disabilities ages six and up. Programs include acting, film making, animation, claymation, dance, music, social skills, performing arts academy and vocational training.
According to a May 2002 article in Time magazine, "One in 150 kids age 10 and younger may be affected by autism or a related disorder—a total of nearly 300,000 children in the U.S. alone. . . . The problem is five times as common as Down syndrome and three times as common as juvenile diabetes. Actors for Autism opens doors and creates possibilities for people affected by this disorder. |

of people on the autistic spectrum.
